Market Share East Asia (Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan) 2004: 15.8%

Singapore and Hong Kong highest per capita expenditure on outbound tourism in the world, but China until now only 15 US$/inhabitant.

--> QUANTITATIVE RESULT:
(EAST) ASIA second biggest source region in the world,
with big potential to grow further

BUT also qualitative differences:

Asians as tourists are different from European tourists, in traditions, behaviour, expectations, perception patterns.
