Cultural features of world resources
"Culture" has been a motor of tourism from its beginning
Monuments, religious buildings (for their sacred or architectural
value), historic or heritage sites, "old"
inner cities, are solid attractions, special
interest places, f.i. places mentioned in literatures
(221 Baker St.) can also become "sights".
Over time "non-sights" can become sights like old industrial
factories, steam locomotives or historic shopping
arcades
About 300 Mio. people (5% of mankind) are considered to be still
"primitive", "aboriginees" etc.
Their "modernization" is lamented,
even so tourism is one of the agents of change itself
