Groupwork II: Change of touristical
demand:
Two groups:
A: Winter sports, especially
downhill skiing is becoming less popular because
of greying society, risk aversion, global warming,
slowing economic growth, etc.
How could this
change of demand changing the spatial situation
in the Austrian Alps?
B: The high level of
seasonality of demand is a problem for the island
of Rugia/Rügen, creating badly paid, badly
qualified and badly motivated workforces and low
quality products.
How could visitors
be attracted to visit the island also in wintertime?

agree on a short presentation of
