Visible hand: State Capitalism and Globalisation
www.economist.com/node/21542931

Globalisation has been discussed mostly as "Westernization"

However, with the global systemic economic crisis of the leading market economies, trapped in debt and unsustainable social security systems, going back to level of state interference unthinkable in Reaganomic and Neo-Lib times, globalisation appears more and more as a renewed competition between two systems:

Market Capitalism vs. State Capitalism

Five topics:

- Global Reach

- Different State capitalisms

- SOEs

- State capitalism and OFDI

- Discussion: Who will win?

Please form five groups and prepare a short presentation taking a supportive and a critical view
