Development and Execution of a Research Project: Responsibilities and Activities of Destinations to attract Chinese visitors

Examination:
Presentations: Intermediate Presentations (work-in-progress) 30 min. plus discussion (10% of final grade) Final 60 min. group presentations of the research results (30% of final grade)
Term paper: Written analysis (paper and electronical version), 10 pages p.P. Deadline: 04.07.2015. (60% of final grade)
Case study Development and Execution of a Research Project: Responsibilities and Activities of Destinations to attract Chinese visitors
Task: Four parts: a) Understanding the role of different stakeholders in destinations to attract international visitors in different destinations including, NTOs, DMOs, industry associations, private companies etc. b) Developing a research design customised for the time and resources available for the project c) Collecting information on a global scale about activities of different stakeholders to attract Chinese visitors d) Analysis: Identifying patterns in the activities according to size or development of countries, length of engagement with Chinese visitors, short- or long-haul destination etc.
Decisions how to structure the work including possible organisation into sub-groups (geographical, stakeholders, etc.) are part of the task
