Introduction: What is Tourism
Psychology?
Tourism Sociology considers the touristic behaviour
of groups of persons, Tourism Psychology
is interested in the behaviour of individual
persons.
Individual behaviour is however determined in a
relevant part by the social group(s), the individual
person belongs to.
For the tourism industry to know about the psychology
of consumers is especially important because of
the immaterial nature of the product.
